Andrew Smith is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Expert Witness and Adjudicator, with over 30 years experience within the construction industry, specialising in dispute avoidance and dispute resolution.

Prior to setting up his own practice in 2015, Andrew spent a large part of his career working for a global main contractor, operating in senior commercial management and quantity surveying roles, later specialising in contractual and legal matters, both in a contentious and non-contentious environment.

Andrew has wide experience of JCT and NEC Contracts and of resolving disputes, via both negotiation and formal dispute resolution procedures, including Adjudication, Mediation, Arbitration and Litigation.

Andrew is Managing Director of Andrew D Smith Ltd, and is regularly appointed by Lawyers, Employers, Consultants, Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and Insurers.
